R-410A Training and Certification Course Click Here to Join the NEFI Education Mailing List The Federal Government is phasing out the use of R-22 refrigerant and replacing it with R-410A. All manufacturers are producing air conditioning equipment using refrigerant 410A. Some manufacturers now require 410A Certification to purchase their equipment. Due to the differences between R-22 and the newer 410A, there is a concern within the industry regarding what those differences are, as well as the additional training required to work on 410A systems. Although 410A safety and training certification is not yet government mandated, NEFI feels that it is important to certify as many technicians and installers as possible in an effort to improve understanding and safe handling of this higher pressure refrigerant. Topics covered include, Safety, Line Sizing, Installation, Service, Sub-Cooling, Flash gas, Metering Devices, Driers & System Accessories, gauges & Refrigerant Characteristics. NEFI is offering a 2 session evening course and a one session day course on R-410A Training and Certification. The evening course will be offered on June 3 & 5, 2008 (6:00 – 10:00 pm), and the day course on June 5, 2008 (7:00 am – 3:30 pm).
