Motor carriers and other registrants must register and pay fees to the Unified Carrier Registration program by December 31, 2025. Payments may be made after that date, but state enforcement (and penalties) begin January 1.

Fees are typically payable to the registrant’s home state. Fees are based on the number of registered vehicles. More information on how to register and pay, as well as the fee structure, is available here.
